ARTIST'S STATEMENT
When I said the pledge in school, it meant something to me — that everyone from the poorest to the richest has that inalienable right and that our justice system works correctly. I couldn’t just slap ink on paper; I had to do more than that because it’s embedded in my core beliefs. Justice is something that binds all Texans together. The stitching illustrates that.
