About

A Poster Show Dedicated to Social Justice.

I Heart Justice is a joint project of Texas Appleseed and AIGA Austin. It is an opportunity to open dialogues through works of art that reflect some of the pressing justice issues of our day. Twenty artists from across Texas have created limited-edition silkscreened prints that will be showcased in the arts exhibition. The project will culminate in a gallery exhibition of the posters in Austin on April 19, 2017. Proceeds from the sale of the posters will benefit Texas Appleseed.

Texas Appleseed is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public interest justice center dedicated to promoting social and economic justice for all Texans. Appleseed works to change unjust laws and policies that prevent Texans from realizing their full potential.

ARTISTS

This year, more than ever, it is important for designers to put their talents to good work. Good intentions need to be communicated to wide audiences in a manner that is informing, inspiring and motivating to the many good people of our state.

AIGA has curated the selection of 20 designers, each of whom will design a poster highlighting a public policy issue/initiative that reflects Texas Appleseed’s mission and activities. Ten designers have been selected from an open call across Texas. Another ten have been invited by our organizing group to participate.
